My All-Natural Daily Skincare Routine
A few months ago you may have seen my beauty interview on Facebook live with the owner + founder of Colour, Debra Shigley. It was during this interview that I realized I'd been using the same drugstore skincare routine since college! Yes, college--which was almost 10 years ago! 😱
Between having babies and getting older, a lot has changed with my skin so I decided it was time to not only get serious about a routine, but care for myself by taking care of it. I did some research and asked around to try and find out what the best products were. It can be so scary testing out all the different serums & creams! Plus the cost of products can sometimes be enough to discourage many from testing, especially without guarantee of success! I learned quickly that skincare is like medicine--what helps treat one person may not cure the other. Research is key!
I also knew a couple things for sure: First, I was tired of searching through isles of products with hidden toxins. I wanted to nourish my skin with products that were clean & organic. Secondly, I wanted a separate morning + night routine that were both easy & effective. That's when I came across KPS Essentials ❤️.
My Skin Type:
- Combination- Oily on my nose + forehead (especially during warmer months). Dry on my cheeks and chin during winter (to the point of flakes).
- Breakouts tend to happen on the chin with an occasional breakout on the forehead (usually diet or hormone related).
- I love wearing makeup--I wear it almost everyday although I've been trying to take breaks during the week and I always wash my face at night. I literally can't get a good nights sleep without a good rinse.
My AM Routine:
I love that KPS customizes a routine specific to your skins needs. I shared my skin type with their on-site esthetician who put together a personalized plan just for me. My morning routine is 4 quick steps:
This combination leaves my skin glowing all day long.
My PM Routine:
It's only been a few weeks, but I already see such a difference in my skin. I'm positive it's because of the organic ingredients + easy routine with KPS Essentials. It’s much better for me– and my skin– to stick to something clean and simple. ✨
